GREELEY, Colo. – April Rummery-Lamb joined Northern Colorado as a transfer from Newberry College, with one year of eligibility remaining, head coach Kristen Mattio announced Friday.
April Rummery-Lamb | 6-4 | Forward | Newberry | Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia
Rummery-Lamb tallied 643 points, 394 rebounds and 107 blocks in three seasons with the Wolves. She appeared in 78 games, including 26 starts, with 25 in her final campaign.
"We are thrilled to add April to our program. April has had an illustrious career so far and is a proven scorer at the college level," Mattio said. "She will provide scoring in the paint and a defensive rim protector presence that we were looking for."
Rummery-Lamb averaged 15.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 26.6 minutes last season.
"April is a great passer, she has a high basketball IQ and can work her way out to the perimeter and face up and knock down the open jump shot," Mattio said. "She will be a solid versatile player for us with her mobile and athletic frame."
Rummery-Lamb established career highs during the 2023-24 campaign in points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals, minutes played, field goals made, field goals attempted, field-goal percentage, free throws and free-throws made.
"April's rebounding strength provides an inside presence on the glass for us as well," Mattio said. "Bear fans will love watching her go to work next season in her final year of basketball!"
