Van Haaren Named Luna's Taco UNC Student Athlete of the Week

GREELEY, Colo. - The University of Northern Colorado Athletics Department has named Kiana Van Haaren the Luna's Taco Student-Athlete of the Week following her standout performance at the UCCS Pre-Holiday Invite & Multi.
Van Haaren, a junior from New Braunfels, Texas, claimed first place in the long jump with a mark of 6.16 meters (20 feet, 2.5 inches). Her performance not only topped a field of 18 athletes but also earned her a ranking of fifth in the NCAA this season.
Additionally, Van Haaren's mark ranks second all-time in Northern Colorado program history and 10th on the Big Sky Conference's all-time performance list.
"I am thrilled and happy for Kiana," said Director of Track and Field Wayne Angel. "She has committed herself to excellence and is reaping the results of her hard work. I am so proud of her."
