Chapa Named BSC Defensive Player of the Week

FARMINGTON, Utah – Cam Chapa collected Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors, league officials announced Monday.
Chapa, a defensive back from Aurora, Colorado, helped the Bears to a road win at No. 20 Weber State Saturday.
"Cam played a very solid game," head coach Ed Lamb said. "He helped limit big plays and came up with the INT on the final play."
He led the Bears with seven tackles. With the Wildcats driving and UNC clinging to a 21-17 advantage, Chapa picked off a pass near midfield to seal the victory. He and the rest of the Bears defense held Weber State to 17 points a week after the Wildcats scored 55.
