Northern Colorado Drops Non-Conference Finale at FBS No. 23 Washington State

The Bears scored just before halftime when Jacob Sirmon found Jamarii Robinson from 18 yards out.
UNC scored again at 5:45 in the third quarter when Hank Gibbs scored on a QB sneak from the Cougar one-yard line.
Sirmon tossed his second touchdown of the game at 11:36 in the fourth quarter with a 52-yard strike to Darius Stewart.
KEY STATS
- David Afari is the Bears' first 100-yard rusher of the season with 116 yards.
- Sirmon finished 16-for-24 for 161 and two touchdowns.
- Blake Haggerty led the Bears with 70 receiving yards.
- Franky Morales finished with a game-high nine tackles, including eight solo stops.
- Cameron Murray and Tama Tuitele each added seven tackles.

The Bears return to action next Saturday and open conference play at Idaho State. UNC returns home on Saturday, September 30 vs. Weber State, which is slated for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
