GREELEY, Colo. – The University of Northern Colorado volleyball team continues to meet and exceed under the leadership of veteran head coach Lyndsey Oates. 2022 was no different and the Bears won the Big Sky regular season and tournament championships and qualified for the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row.
- Swept Power 5 opponent North Carolina at Bank of Colorado Arena (25-11, 25-21, 25-12)
- Defeated Colorado State in Fort Collins (25-10, 25-13, 23-25, 25-22)
- 11-2 record at home
- Led the Big Sky in several offensive categories: hitting percentage (.269), points per set (17.47), and assists per set (12.93)
- Syd Cole enjoyed a special season and was named 2022 AVCA D1 All-American Honorable Mention, 2022 AVCA All-Region, 2022 Big Sky Player of the Year, 2022 All-Big Sky First Team, 2022 All-Big Sky Tournament Team, 2022 Big Sky All-Academic, 2022 Big Sky Player of the Week (Oct. 3, Oct. 24), and 2022 UNC All-Bear Team
