TULSA, Okla. – University of Northern Colorado wrestling looks to make program history as the Bears are sending three student-athletes to the 2023 NCAA Wrestling Championships at the BOK Center from March 16-18.
Qualifying for the Bears are Stevo Poulin (125), Andrew Alirez (141), and Vinny Zerban (157).
Alirez and Poulin earned automatic bids due to winning the Big 12 championship at their respective weight class, and Zerban picked up an at-large selection due to a quality resume.
"Really excited for Andrew, Stevo, and Vinny," said UNC head wrestling coach Troy Nickerson. "They are all very deserving to compete at the NCAA championships. This is the best-of-the-best and our guys are up for the challenge and look forward to representing the University of Northern Colorado, the City of Greeley, and our local wrestling community."
