ST. GEORGE, Utah – The Northern Colorado women's golf team best all of its Big Sky opponents tying for eighth with a team score of 906 at the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational this weekend.

The Bears were led by Marija Jucmane who shot a +6 for the weekend, including a one-under during the second day of competition. Jucmane tied for 11th overall at the invite.

Timbre Shehee turned in a 72 on the final day of competition, and led on the opening day with a 74. Shehee finished second among the team and tied for 22nd overall with a +10.

Big Sky opponents, Portland State, Weber State, Montana, Idaho State and Eastern Washington were all in attendance at the invite. Portland State was the closest team to the Bears, finishing nine-strokes behind UNC.

The Bears head to Arizona next weekend, March 18-19, for the NAU Red Rocks Invitational, hosted by Northern Arizona at the Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona, Ariz.
