GREELEY, Colo. - The University of Northern Colorado head women's basketball coach Kristen Mattio is pleased to announce the signings of Olivia Loomis-Goltl and Neenah George.
"Our focus was to recruit players that provided versatility and play-making in order to complement our current team and our future. This signing class is the epitome of a student-athlete, they are unbelievable class acts and their work ethic and self-motivation will serve our program well both on and off the court," Mattio said. "As with all recruiting classes, I am very proud when a young lady decides to come to the University of Northern Colorado and become a Bear."

Coach Mattio on Loomis-Goltl: "We are thrilled to announce the addition of Olivia to our Bear family. Our Bear fans are going to love the intensity, passion, and work ethic that she brings to the court! Olivia is a WINNER! She understands what it takes to consistently compete at a high level. Olivia is a smooth-scoring guard who can really shoot the ball, has a great mid-range game. She has strong playmaking abilities and a high basketball IQ. Olivia has been mentored by coach Dave Kuhlen and they have made back-to-back runs to the Nebraska state tournament! Olivia will fit perfectly into our system and style of play. Olivia's parents are both proud alumni of UNC!"
Neenah George

Legion Prep Academy
5-foot-8 Point Guard
George is a skilled point guard and will provide a spark for the Bears.
Last season, she played in 30 games and averaged 13.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. A three-sport athlete, George also excelled in track and soccer and played football. She is a four-time A/B honor roll selection and is a member of the National Honor Society. Hobbies include bowling, listening to music, and writing.
Coach Mattio on Neenah George: "We are so excited to announce the signing of Neenah! Neenah is a competitor; she plays the game with a lot of passion and her versatility on the court will allow us to use her in multiple ways. She is a strong, physical point guard who can shoot the 3, put it on the floor to score at the mid-range or rim and she will really ignite our offense with her court vision and playmaking ability! You won't find a young lady more passionate and invested in her success on the court and in the classroom than Neenah. She sets the standard of excellence in both areas! Our Bear fans are going to really like watching Neenah impact the game. Neenah played AAU basketball with the very successful Lady Drive Nation and coach Ed Daniels as well as currently playing high school basketball with coach Taylor Johnston and Legion Prep."
