Engelkins Scores in Bears Setback

MOSCOW, Idaho – Northern Colorado suffered a 4-1 setback against Idaho at the Kibbie Dome Friday.
Sydney Engelkins put the Bears ahead just 2:24 into the match when she found the back of the net on a cross from Lily Thimsen.
On the right side of the Vandals' box, Thimsen found an unmarked Englekins streaking through the middle of the defense. She contacted the ball with her boot and beat the goalkeeper.
Idaho responded with four unanswered tallies, including the match winner with 1:18 remaining before the intermission.
The Vandals converted a penalty kick in the sixth minute, pulling even at 1-1. They iced the contest away with a pair of second-half goals.
