Men's Golf Battles to Top 10 Finish

UNC men's golf finished in 10th at the Ram Master Invitational
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Northern Colorado men's golf battled its way into the top 10 of the Ram Master Invitational. The Bears, who sat in last place after round one, regrouped and put together two strong rounds to earn a 10th place team finish. The 54-hole event took place at the Fort Collins Country Club.
The best round of the tournament came in the second round when they shot a 4-under, 276 as a team. Three Bears finished the round under par led by Garrett Willis's 3-under, 67. Willis recorded a double eagle in the round jarring an 8-iron from 210 out. He finished the tournament tied for 40th with an 8-over, 218.
Graduate Jack Castiglia led the way for UNC. He shot a 1-over, 211 to finish tied for 19th. Castiglia was the lone Bear to post two rounds under-par with a second round 68, and final round 69. Castiglia led the tournament with 40 pars adding in six birdies and an eagle.

Northern Colorado will continue its tour around Colorado when they head to the CU Mark Simpson Invite over October 3-4 at the Boulder Country Club.
