A day after needing five sets for a comeback win at Eastern Washington, Northern Colorado (19-8, 13-3 Big Sky) crossed the state line to post its tenth sweep of the season.
The Bears will now turn their attention to the Big Sky Tournament that will be played in Ogden, Utah from Nov. 23-26. UNC, the defending conference tournament champions, will face the No. 8 in the opening round.
After trailing 15-13 in the opening set against Idaho (4-24, 1-15 Big Sky), UNC closed out the initial stanza with a 12-2 run.
The Bears eliminated the need for a late rally in the subsequent sets as the team jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the second set and a 7-1 advantage in the third.
Led by 12 kills by graduate Kailey Jo Ince, the Bears outhit the Vandals, .297 to .083.
With its last setback occurring on October 8 in a 3-2 loss at Northern Arizona, the win extended the team's winning streak to 11 matches. The streak now stands one match shy of matching the longest undefeated run in 18 seasons under the direction of Head Coach Lyndsey Oates.
