GREELEY, Colo.—Two days before the team's final home match of the season, Northern Colorado continued its quest for a regular-season Big Sky championship with a 3-0 (25-20-25-22, 25-18) win over Idaho State on Thursday.

With the result, Northern Colorado (16-8, 10-3 Big Sky) joins Weber State as the first teams to reach 10 wins in the conference standings. With sole possession of first place on the line, the Bears will host Weber State on Saturday, Nov. 12 when the program celebrates Senior Day inside the Bank of Colorado Arena.

Against the Bengals, Northern Colorado jumped out to an 11-2 lead in the first and never trailed in the opener while hitting a match-high .355 and recording four of the team's nine aces.

The Bears found themselves trailing by as many as six points (18-12) in the second set but conjured up a 13-3 finish to snare the two-set lead.

Buoyed by four straight kills by Makenzie Harris midway through the third, UNC completed the team's third straight sweep and eighth strait win.

Harris led all players with 12 kills while Rachel Hickman added eight terminations. The nine aces for the Bears were one shy of a season high.

UNC will enter Saturday's match with a 10-2 record at home. Opening serve against the Wildcats is set for 6 p.m.
