PULLMAN, Wash—Competing on back-to-back dates for the third time this season, Payten Irwin led the Northern Colorado swimming and diving team with a pair of wins in a dual against Washington State University on Saturday.

Irwin swept the two butterfly events on Saturday with a 25.67 at 50 meters and a season-best time of 56.68 in the 100. Irwin was also runner-up in the 100 individual medley for 22 points in total to lead all competitors in the dual.

Washington State (1-2), a member of the Pac 12, won the dual by a 144-104 score.

Undefeated entering the meet, Northern Colorado falls to 4-1 on the season and remains 2-0 in Western Athletic Conference competitions. The Bears will now turn their attention to the Utah Tech Invitational which will be held across three days from Nov. 17-19.

The Bears finished 2-3 in seven different events and extended the result to 2-3-4 finish in the 200 freestyle and the 200 individual medley.

Anna Austin led UNC in the 200 free with a season-best time of 1:54.59 and added a second season best in the 500 free with a 5:08.83.
