UNC wrestling hosts Oregon State Friday
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado wrestling returns to the mat on Friday by hosting Oregon State at 6 pm inside Bank of Colorado Arena. Tickets for the dual are available at UNCBears.com/Tickets.
Bear Facts
- Northern Colorado started 2022 strong with four placers at the Southern Scuffle. They were Andrew Alirez, Alan Clothier and Chris Sandoval.
- Clothier became UNC's first-ever four-time placer at the Scuffle. He finished in sixth place for the 197 lbs.
- Andrew Alirez earned third place for the 141 lbs weight class making it to the semifinals of the championship bracket. It followed up his second place finish at the Cliff Keen Invite in December.
- Sandoval earned his first ever place winner spot at the Scuffle taking fifth for the 149 lbs bracket.
- Jacob Seely returned in the Blue & Gold competing at 285 lbs going 1-2 at the Southern Scuffle.
- Northern Colorado is ranked No. 15 in the NWCA Mid Major top 20.

Northern Colorado's next home dual is scheduled for Friday, January 28 at 6 pm against California Baptist. Fans are encouraged to wear white at Northern Colorado's next home dual, the "White Out" match. Tickets for the dual can be purchased at UNCBears.com/Tickets. Discounted tickets for fans wearing white are available starting at 5pm on the day of the dual at the Bank of Colorado Arena ticket office.
