Big Sky announces Spring Academic All-Conference honorees

UNC placed 51 student-athletes on the Spring Academic All-Big Sky list

FARMINGTON, Utah – The Big Sky Conference released its final Academic All-Conference list on Wednesday with the spring sports honorees being announced. UNC had 51 Academic All-Big Sky honorees from men's and women's golf, men's and women's track and field and softball.

Northern Colorado's Academic All-Conference total ended at 223 for the 2020-21 season.

Softball led the way for the Bears with 17 of its 24 student-athletes on the list. Women's track and field followed it up with 13 than men's and women's golf with eight apiece and men's track and field at five.

The requirements for the 2020-21 Academic All-Big Sky Teams were slightly altered due to the unique season as voted on by the league's Athletic Directors, a student-athlete must have met/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) Be on an active roster for their institution; 2) Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at the conclusion of the most recently completed term; 3) Completed at least one academic term at his/her current Big Sky institution.
