Hume goes over 1,000 career points, Bears split with Eagles

Bodie Hume became the 23rd player in program history to score 1,000 points.
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado and Eastern Washington men's basketball traded blow for blow in another slugfest on Saturday afternoon inside Bank of Colorado Arena. The Eagles edged out the Bears 82-76.
Saturday's game featured 20 lead changes and six ties with little breathing room for either team.
Matt Johnson II led Northern Colorado is scoring for the sixth straight game with a career-best 23 points alongside four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
UNC closed the half on an 8-0 run, Hume scored the last five.
Johnson II caught fire down the stretch for UNC scoring 10 straight points to keep the Bears neck and neck with the Eagles.

Eastern Washington recorded 42 rebounds in the game, a UNC opponent's season-high. Fourteen of them came on the offensive end leading to 16 second chance points.
