Davis, Chapman Named All-Big Sky

Alexis Chapman earned third team All-Big Sky and Alisha Davis honorable meniton
BOISE, Idaho – Alexis Chapman and Alisha Davis earned All-Big Sky honors as announced by the conference on Monday morning. Chapman was named to the third team, while Davis earned honorable mention. It is the first All-Big Sky honors for both.
Chapman averaged 11.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game during Big Sky play. The 11.6 points ranked 19th in the conference and she was 10th for 3-point field goal percentage and made 3s per game. Chapman scored in double figures in 12 of the team's 20 Big Sky games including a conference season-high 20 points off the bench against Weber State.
Alisha Davis turned in a great freshman year leading UNC in scoring, rebounds and blocks during the conference season. She led the Big Sky in shooting at 53.0 percent. Davis averaged 13.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. Among freshman in the Big Sky, she ranked first in points, rebounds, field goal percentage and blocks. Davis had four double-doubles in conference play including a pair of monster games against Southern Utah and Montana. She had a 21 point, 15 rebound performance against SUU and 20 point, 16 rebound game against UM.
Davis, Chapman and the rest of the Bears enter the Big Sky Tournament as the eighth seed and face Sacramento State in the first round on Monday, March 9 at 2:30 pm inside Century Link Arena.
