Complete Team Effort Helps Bears past Regis

Northern Colorado men's basketball improved to 2-0 on the year Friday night
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado men's basketball improved to 2-0 on Friday night with a complete wire-to-wire team win over Regis, 83-58.
The trio of Bodie Hume, Daylen Kountz and Matt Johnson II led the Bears combining for 55 points and 11 of the team's 17 assists.
Hume and Kountz scored 24 points in the first half including a stretch where the duo had 13 straight for the Bears. UNC led by as much as 19 during the first half. Meanwhile, Johnson led the team with six assists in the game.
After a sold 50.0% shooting effort in the first half, Northern Colorado came out on fire in the second half making their first six field goal attempts. The Bears ended up shooting 70.8% in the final 20 minutes of play, including draining seven three-pointers.
The offensive onslaught and tough defense, holding Regis to 37.7% shooting as Northern Colorado cruised to their second win of the season.
