Cruz's record performance earns co-Big Sky Golfer of the Week

UNC women's golfer Beah Cruz was named co-Big Sky Golfer of the Week
OGDEN, Utah – Behind her record-setting performance at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, UNC women's golfer Beah Cruz earned co-Big Sky Golfer of the Week honors with Idaho's Sophie Hausmann.
Cruz earned the weekly award by finishing tied for second place by shooting a 4-under 212. She set the program's record for lowest round shot with a 68 during the second round on Monday. Cruz, tied for the tournament lead with 14 birdies over the 54 holes and missed out on tying the program's lowest 54-hole score by a stroke.
The honor is the first of her career. Cruz shared the award with Sophie Hausmann who competed in the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur.
UNC women's golf returns to action next weekend, April 19-21 for the Big Sky Championship in Boulder City, Nevada.
