GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado Athletics, along with Comcast Entertainment Television are giving fans all across the state a way to watch the Bears on Saturdays with the finalized football TV schedule for 2016.
CET Sports will broadcast four of the five UNC home football games this season.
This will be the second year Northern Colorado has partnered with Comcast. CET is carried exclusively on XFINITY service across Colorado on Channel 900 (HD) and 105 (SD) in the Denver and Colorado Springs DMAs. Roughly, 800,000 subscribers have access to CET from Fort Collins/Greeley in the north to Pueblo in the south along the Front Range. CET can also be seen in mountain towns such as Vail, Aspen, and Steamboat Springs.
"The biggest piece is the recruiting aspect. Every kid coming to college, whether he's going to a big school or a small school wants to be seen," Head Coach Earnest Collins Jr. said. "Having as many games as we have on TV is going to be great for recruiting this year – the other piece is for the fan base. Those that can't get to us or the parents that don't have the money to come here every week, it's great that they can turn to a network channel and see their kids play ball."
The first game on CET Sports will be the Bears' Big Sky Opener against Northern Arizona (Oct. 1), followed by homecoming against Sacramento State (Oct. 17) and ending with North Dakota (Nov. 5) and Montana (Nov. 12).
Kickoff times for all home games on television will be 1:05 p.m. for the games in October and 12:05 p.m. in November.
Fans can also catch UNC on ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain for its in-state rivalry game at Colorado State (Sept. 17).
