Jeremy Hayden was officially named the running backs coach in December 2014 and is in his his second full season as the position coach for his alma mater after working as the interim running backs coach over the last four weeks of the 2014 season.
Hayden has been with the program since 2012 serving as the assistant offensive line coach under a Graduate Assistantship. When he joined the team, Hayden took ownership of the day-to-day operations of the defensive scout team, weekly film breakdowns, prepared the weekly scouting reports for the offense, along with the creation of scouting reports each week.
Hayden brings over 14 years of coaching experience to Northern Colorado, coaching both at the collegiate and high school levels.
From 2002-2012 he worked at the high school level as a positions coach.
While coaching at Greeley West High School from 2007-2011, Hayden oversaw the tight ends and the offensive line. His team was named League Champions four different times and reached the playoffs every season during his tenure. They were also the State Champion Runners-Up in 2008.
Hayden graduated from Northern Colorado in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and completed his Master’s Degree in Sports Coaching from the University.Â
