Martinez enters her first year as an assistant coach at Northern Colorado.
She comes to UNC after spending two seasons at Trinidad State College as an assistant coach. In 2021, she was a part of a staff that helped the program to its third Region 9 Championship.
Prior to joining the coaching ranks, she was a student-athlete at Trinidad State from 2015-17. She played in the outfield and hit .337 during her career and helped the program to its first-ever Region 9 Championship in 2017.
