Grosz brings more than 26 years of collegiate athletics experience to Northern Colorado, adding a veteran presence with a proven track record of leadership, program development, and administrative success. He most recently served as Associate Director of Athletics and Head Men’s Basketball Coach at the University of Northwestern, where he balanced oversight of departmental operations with leading a competitive program on the court.
A widely respected leader in the profession, Grosz has guided teams to multiple national postseason appearances, highlighted by an NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen run and two NCAA Division I National Championships. His success has been built on a commitment to student-athlete development, competitive excellence, and a strong culture within his programs.
In addition to his coaching accomplishments, Grosz brings a well-rounded administrative background that includes NCAA committee service, budgeting oversight, game and event operations, personnel management, and long-term strategic facility planning. His experience navigating the evolving landscape of collegiate athletics makes him a valuable addition to the department.
At UNC, Grosz will play a key role in supporting NCAA Division I compliance efforts, helping ensure adherence to conference and national regulations while contributing to the continued growth and integrity of Northern Colorado Athletics.
