Spencer Patterson was named offensive line coach at Northern Colorado in December of 2022.

Patterson comes to UNC are spending the past four seasons at BYU, and serving as a graduate assistant, primarily working with the offensive line.

Before BYU, Patterson spent the 2018 season at Louisiana Tech and served as an offensive graduate assistant, and helped the Bulldogs to their fifth-straight bowl game. Coached one first-team Conference USA offensive lineman and two honorable-mention offensive linemen at La Tech.

Patterson coached for two seasons at Eastern Illinois. In 2017 he was the offensive line quality control coach and in 2016 served as the special team’s quality control.

Helped EKU lead the OVC in passing and completion percentage in 2017.

Coached Eastern Kentucky special teams to the top-rated punting unit in the conference and one of the best in the nation. Eastern led the Ohio Valley Conference in net punting (41.19 yards) and punt return defense (2.5 yards). The Colonels ranked third and fourth in the nation in those categories as well.

Patterson played at Utah Tech (formally Dixie State).
