Maddie Ford joined UNC athletics in June 2018 and serves as the athletic trainer for the men’s basketball program. In December 2020, she was elevated to Head Athletic Trainer within the Sports Medicine department and since October 2023 Ford has been the Director of Sports Medicine at UNC. With this role, she oversees all athletic trainers on staff and manages operations of all athletic training rooms on campus.
Prior to coming to Greeley, Ford worked as an athletic trainer for The Ohio State University with the spirit programs and assisted with both the men’s and women’s basketball programs.
Ford received her Masters of Science from Illinois State University where she worked as a Graduate Assistant athletic trainer while she earned her degree. She received her Bachelors of Science in athletic training from Chapman University prior to Illinois State.
Ford maintains her NATA membership and is certified in a variety of manual therapy techniques including but not limited to Dry Needling, Graston, and Cupping.
