Ethan Pearson joined UNC athletics in March 2025 and serves as the athletic trainer for the football program. Prior to coming to Greeley, Pearson spent nine years at Doane University in Nebraska where he served as an assistant athletic trainer prior to taking over as the Director of Sports Medicine in 2019. During his time at Doane, he oversaw 23 athletic programs and over 600 student-athletes with direct coverage of football, men’s and women’s wrestling and men’s and women’s tennis. Prior to Doane he spent one year in Kansas City at Park Hill High School.

In 2024, Pearson was named the inaugural recipient of the Great Plains Athletic Conference Athletic Trainer of the Year award. He was instrumental in outlining and updating policies and procedures to follow for heat, cold, and lightning best practices at the conference level.

A native of Nebraska, Pearson graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University. He also earned his Masters in Education in Exercise Science at the University of Nebraska-Kearney, where he worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the football, cross country and track and field teams.
