Elly Wright

- Assistant Athletic Trainer
Elly Wright joined the University of Northern Colorado athletic training staff in June, 2025 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Prior to coming to UNC, Wright served as a dedicated and experienced Athletic Trainer at Campbellsville University, where she provided comprehensive care and support for student-athletes across multiple sports including baseball, women’s soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, dance, and bowling. Wright joined Campbellsville in 2019 and was instrumental in injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, with a focus on orthopedic injuries and concussion management.
A two-time graduate of the University of Montana, Wright earned both her Master of Athletic Training and Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance in 2019. During her academic career, she completed clinical rotations covering a range of sports at institutions including the University of Montana, University of Montana Western, and local high schools, as well as experience in neurology and orthopedic clinics.

Wright has presented research at regional and national conferences, including a systematic review on injury trends in rodeo athletes. She also authored the Mental Health Policy for Campbellsville’s Athletic Training Department and served as a preceptor for athletic training students, reflecting her commitment to the development of future professionals in the field.

An active member of the National, Southeast, and Kentucky Athletic Trainers’ Associations, Elly is certified by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers and holds additional certifications including Graston M1 and Stop the Bleed Instructor.
