Jacob Kisiolek

Jacob Kisolek joined the University of Northern Colorado swimming and diving staff in the 2018-19 season as a volunteer assistant coach.Â
With Kisolek on the staff, Northern Colorado broke 13 program records in his first year. Along with the broken records, UNC swam 22 NIC qualifying times and three NCAA B qualifying times. At the WAC Championships, Northern Colorado won five titles, including winning three of the five relays, and had 11 swimmers earn either first or second team All-Conference honors on their way to tying the program's best finish by taking third place.Â
Kisolek brought with him five years of coaching experience, most recently at the Tallahassee Aquatic Club from 2017-18 as a developmental coach and pre-senior coach. Prior to working at the Tallahassee Aquatic Club, he worked with the Special Olympics Swimming in La Crosse County, Wisconsin.Â
Kisolek was also on the swim team at UW-La Crosse. While on the team he was a team captain and earned All-Conference Academic honors all four seasons. In 2016 he was named the All-Conference Sportsmanship Award. In the pool, he took 11th at the WIAC conference meet in 1650 free his sophomore season and 12th in the same event his freshman year.Â
While volunteering to work with the swim and dive program, Kisolek is pursuing his doctorate degree in Sport and Exercise Science-Exercise Physiology. He has a bachelor's degree from UW-La Crosse in Exercise and Sport Science with a minor in nutrition and master's of science degree from Florida State in Exercise Physiology-Sports Nutrition.
