Serrano Receives NCAA At-Large Bid, Rushton Earns Automatic Qualifier

GREELEY, Colo. – The NCAA released the entire field for the 2026 NCAA Wrestling Championships on Tuesday. Senior wrestlers Dominick Serrano and Mahonri Rushton have both earned spots in the 2026 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, scheduled for March 19–21 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
Rushton secured his berth at 184 pounds after a strong showing at the Big 12 Championships placing fifth and earning an automatic qualifying bid.
Serrano received an at-large selection after an impressive regular season that saw him compile a 15-1 record. A key contributor to the Bears lineup all year, Serrano has delivered clutch performances with strategic approaches on the mat and will look to carry that momentum into the national tournament.
Serrano and Rushton will represent Northern Colorado among the program's NCAA qualifiers and will aim to make a deep run when competition begins in Cleveland.
Seeding and brackets for this year's championship will be announced Wednesday, March 11, during the NCAA Division I Men's Wrestling Championships Selection Show on NCAA.com at 8 p.m. ET.
