Erokhina Sets Two School Records, Earns Sixth Team Honor of Season

GREELEY, Colo. – University of Northern Colorado senior Maria Erokhina delivered a record-breaking performance in the Bears' home dual victory over Utah Tech on Feb. 7, earning three first-place finishes while posting a pair of MPSF season-bests. The Paphos, Cyprus native reset the school record in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:01.47 and followed with another program-best mark of 2:12.86 in the 200-yard breaststroke, with both swims standing as the fastest in the MPSF this season.
Erokhina also contributed a 27.87 split on the breaststroke leg of the winning 200 medley relay, helping Northern Colorado secure another event victory. The honor marks the sixth team award of the season for the Bears and Erokhina's second, continuing a strong 2025-26 campaign in the pool.
UP NEXT: The Bears will head to Texas to compete in the MPSF Conference Championships Feb. 25-28.
