Berg Named WAC Diver of the Week

ARLINGTON, TEXAS – Senior diver Madison Berg was named the Western Athletic Conference's Diver of the Week, the league announced Wednesday afternoon. It is her first WAC Diver of the Week selection of the 2024-25 season.
A River Falls, Wis. native, Berg swept the diving events in the dual against Colorado State on Friday, Jan. 24. Berg won the 1-meter with 294.25 while also claiming first in the 3-meter dive after scoring 293.70.
"Madison has fought and clawed through trusting the process. To be peaking at the right time during her senior year is nothing short of brilliant," said Diving Coach Jacob Butler, "I would say I am proud of her, but she did the work, she should be proud of herself."
Berg is the first Bear to collect a Western Athletic Conference Diver of the Week honor this season.

The Bears swimming and diving team will compete on Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. at home against GCU.
