GREELEY, Colo. – A pair of matchups against Power Four schools, plus games against in-state rivals Colorado, Air Force and Denver highlight Northern Colorado's 2024-25 11-game non-conference basketball schedule.
"We are excited to officially announce our non-conference schedule today," head coach Kristen Mattio said. "We have put together a schedule that will not only prepare us for Big Sky play but also goals of deeper postseason run. I know our fans will enjoy watching this group!"
The Bears host an exhibition and six regular-season games at Bank of Colorado Arena, beginning with Fort Lewis Oct. 30, Concordia Nov. 4, Air Force Nov. 11, Utah State Nov. 17, Central Christian Nov. 29, Tabor College Nov. 30 and the Big Sky-Summit League Challenge against North Dakota Dec 7.
"We have a solid blend of NCAA tournament teams, in-state rivals and some new competition that we have not seen in a while," Mattio said. "We encourage all our Bear's fans to reserve their favorite seat for home games today! We want the Bank of Colorado Arena rockin' this season!"
UNC hits the road for two games in November. The Bears face Colorado in Boulder, Colorado Nov. 7 and leave the state for the first time Nov. 23, when they travel to Provo, Utah for a tilt with BYU. The take on St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dec. 4, for the Big Sky-Summit League Challenge.
They put a bow on non-conference play with trips to Denver (Dec. 13) and Lamar in Beaumont, Texas (Dec. 21).
In Big Sky action, the Bears face each of the nine teams twice, beginning Jan. 2 at Weber State in Ogden, Utah, with the Wildcats visiting Greeley March 3, for the final regular season game.
The Big Sky Conference Championship runs March 8-12 at the Idaho Central Arena in Boise, Idaho.
