Trio Named MyGreeley.Com UNC Student-Athletes of the Week

GREELEY, Colo. – Katelyn Bergin (women's swimming and diving), Pietro Boeris (men's golf), and Isabelle DiNapoli (softball) have been named the MyGreeley.Com UNC Student-Athletes of the Week.
Bergin had a standout effort at the WAC swimming and diving championships.
Katelyn Bergin set a new school mark in the 100-yard butterfly, stopping the clock at 53.44, and claiming a spot on the second step of the podium. Bergin was part of the 200-yard medley relay that finished at 1:40.05, a school record and second overall.
Bergin set a school record and placed third in the 200 IM, with a time of 2:00.52.
Boeris played well at the Loyola Intercollegiate.
He posted a fifth-place finish with the third-lowest 54-hole score in program history. Boeris opened with a 3-under 69 Sunday and followed it up with a 5-under 67 Monday. His 69 in the final round secured an 11-under 205.
Boeris tallied 17 birdies, the fifth-most in the event, and carded a 9-under on the par-5s.
His performance helped the Bears to an aggregate score of 839, the lowest 54-hole total in program history.
DiNapoli threw the third no-hitter in the NCAA Division I era and it was the first of her career.
The junior kept Manhattan scoreless twice this weekend over 11 innings of work. DiNapoli tossed the complete game no-hitter on Friday against the Jaspers, striking out five batters. The Bear followed that performance by holding Manhattan to a trio of hits in Sunday's contest. The Jaspers were held to a mere .083 batting average.
DiNapoli totaled 16 strikeouts on the weekend.
