UNC Athletics Celebrates Successful Inaugural Giving Day: Building Champions

UNC Athletics is thrilled to announce the resounding success of its inaugural Giving Day campaign, Building Champions. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we received 766 gifts, from 637 donors and the campaign raised a total of $261,393 to support over 400 student-athletes.
The Building Champions campaign featured opportunities for alumni, family, friends, donors and other members of the UNC Athletics community to support each team and their specific fundraising initiatives.
"Building Champions was a huge success, and I want to thank all who contributed to this effort." Darren Dunn, Athletic Director, said "The resources from our first Building Champions giving day is invaluable in helping us Build Champions of Life. I am so appreciative of the support for UNC Athletics!"

- Softball: $25,415 raised by 118 donors
- Football: $24,830 raised by 18 donors
- Track & Field and Cross Country: $24,425 raised by 54 donors
- Baseball: $23,420 raised by 28 donors
- Swimming and Diving: $22,840 raised by 130 donors
- Men's Basketball: $21,945 raised by 31 donors
- Volleyball: $21,925 raised by 39 donors
- Wrestling: $13,192 raised by 111 donors
- Men's Golf: $13,101 raised by 19 donors
- Women's Golf: $13,100 raised by 27 donors
- Soccer: $7,200 raised by 18 donors
