Hartman Leads Bears at Red Sky Classic
MOSCOW, Idaho — Northern Colorado went 0-2 last weekend at Washington State and Idaho.
At Idaho, Madison Berg swept the diving competitions. She won the 3-meter springboard competition with a score of 243.22 and added a second gold with a 299.18 in the 1-meter.
Mireya Ruiz followed Berg with a 233.47 on the 3-meter springboard.
Violet Noel posted a 242.18 in the 1-meter springboard, collecting the bronze.
Martina Yuki Trionfetti, Maria Erokhina, Ellyson Lombardi and Kyra Rabess placed second in the 200-yard medley relay (1:46.20), while the quartet of Sloane Antonetz, Birgitta Ingolfsdottir, Payten Irwin and Vitoria Simioni took bronze in a time of 1:46.52.
Emma On-The-Hill collected a silver in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:39.74.
Rabess claimed gold in the 500-yard freestyle and added a second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.78).
Antonetz swam a 59.49 in the 100-yard backstroke, placing second.
Erokhina won the 100-yard breaststroke with a 1:05.20 and added silver in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:23.53. She placed third in the 200-yard IM in a time 2:11.18.
Ingolfsdottir tallied a runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.97).
Lombardi paced the field in the 200-yard butterfly, with a time of 2:04.35. She swam 56.60 and placed second in 100-yard butterfly.
Irwin chased Lombardi to the line in the 200-yard butterfly, registering second in a time of 2:05.64. She took home third in the 100-yard butterfly, with a time of 57.21.
Trionfetti placed third in the 100-yard freestyle, .01 out of second at 53.31.
Ariane Bernier recorded a 2:06.94 in the 200-yard backstroke and placed third.
Lily Mayer earned a bronze in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:11.85.
Trionfetti, Mayer, Lombardi and Rabess claimed the 400-yard relay in a time of 3:31.41.
Lombardi claimed the only win for UNC against Washington State Friday. She swam a 2:03.09 to earn gold in the 200-butterfly.
The Bears open their home schedule Friday, Oct. 25 at 4 p.m. against New Mexico State.
