GREELEY, Colo. – The University of Northern Colorado women's basketball team's Fast Break Club launches the three-week "Excellence Initiative" to support the program and the student-athletes it serves.
The Fast Break Club's "Excellence Initiative" was started to accelerate the trajectory of the program. It's a three-week fundraising campaign that was created to provide additional support with a focus on four key areas: nutrition, optimized and enhanced travel experiences, technology and innovation, and facility and locker room enhancements.
The launch begins on September 11th and will run through September 30th.
"I am excited and proud to be at UNC and to continue to lead with an incredible staff and outstanding student-athletes. We want to continue to position ourselves at the top of our conference and make program enhancements that will elevate our players and their overall experience," said UNC head women's basketball coach Kristen Mattio. "The Fast Break Club's 'Excellence Initiative' gifts will allow our staff to quickly invest in valuable resources that will allow us to continue to compete at an elite level. We are truly grateful for our UNC Bear family and friends who will be a part of our three-week 'Excellence Initiative' journey to continue to help make transformative changes within our program! I hope our dream of 'Excellence' fuels people to give."
