MORGAN HILL, Calif. -- On the second day of the 2023 NCAA Men's Golf Regionals, UNC men's golfers Jack Castiglia and Blake Danni both turned in 78s on a day that saw most teams struggle on the links. The Bears combined for a 316 on the day and sit with a two-day score of 624.

After the opening day that saw 39 golfers shoot par or better, the second round only featured 10 golfers shoot par or below. The best team score in the second round was a +6 by Baylor, compared to eight teams scoring below par on the opening day.

Danni continues to lead the group, sitting just one stroke ahead of Castiglia with a two-day score of 153.

TJ Shehee and and Alessio Battista both turned in 80s on the day, to round out the scoring the Bears.

The teams return to the course for the final round of competition tomorrow morning. Gage Messingham starts things off for the Bears with a 10:20 a.m. (MT) tee time.
