Jucmane and Shehee Earn All-Conference Honors

FARMINGTON, Utah -- Northern Colorado golfers Marija Jucmane and Timbre Shehee were honored by the Big Sky Conference, as Jucmane was named Second Team All-Big Sky and Shehee as Honorable Mention All-Big Sky, the conference announced Friday.
A graduate student from Riga, Latvia, Jucmane is on pace to set the UNC record for scoring average in a single season. Jucmane is currently averaging 74.26 per round, and the UNC record was sits at 74.78. Jucmane has a season low score of 70, which she recorded twice this season, the last time at the Oral Roberts Invite, April 10-11, in which she also finished fifth overall. She also leads the team with 62 birdies on the season and 301 pars.
A freshman from Mead, Colo., Shehee is second on the team with a 75.70 stroke average this season, which sits just outside the top-10 all-time at UNC for a single season. She is also second on the team in birdies, just one shy of Jucmane with 62. Shehee had a season-best finish at the GCU Invitational, Feb. 27-28, in which she recorded two 71's and finished tied for 10th overall.
The UNC women's golf team competes in the 2023 Big Sky Women's Golf Championships this next week, April 17-19. The tournament will take place at the Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
