UNC Places Third at Magnus Cup
11/19/2023 1:26:00 AM | Women's Swimming & Diving
The Bears tallied 922 points, 130 points behind Florida Gulf Coast and 649 behind RV Akron – the team champion. UNC finished 12 points ahead of Tulane and 109 in front of fifth-place Toledo.
"This was the most dominant team performance I have ever been a part of," head coach Lisa Ebeling said. "Our girls have been training at a level beyond what we have ever seen in the past, but leading into this meet we were battling illness and we only took about four days to rest so I wasn't completely sure what to expect. The emotions were high all week as our women stepped up race after race after race to inspire one another and bring our program to a new level. The environment they created was so electric that I lost my voice completely after the first day of the meet. I couldn't be more proud to lead this group of women and I am so excited to see what they can do with some real rest at our championship meets in February."
