Men’s Golf Jumps into Top 10 of Gene Miranda Invitational Following Second Round

USAFA- COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- UNC Men's Golf delivered a strong showing on day two of the Gene Miranda Invitational as they moved into the top 10 of the tournament. The Bears sit in ninth place after shooting one under for a total of 287 strokes on the day.
Jack Castiglia led the team in the second round shooting a 70 to bring him to an individual total of 149 on the tournament. His performance also lands him in a tie for 48th.
However, Yuze Zhang is the front runner for UNC in the overall tournament, currently sitting at fifth after shooting the team's second-best score of 71 in the second round for an individual total of 139.
Northern Colorado sits in ninth following the second day of golf, jumping eight spots from a tie for 17th after yesterday's first round.
UNC will now compete in the third and final round of the tournament tomorrow as they leverage their recent success and ranking. They currently have an overall 586 strokes, putting them at ten over par in the tournament.
