Austin grabs Swimmer of the Week for second time this season

DENVER, Colo. – Just two weeks separated from picking up Western Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week, Anna Austin has done it again after another monster performance against Colorado State.
The junior from Arvada, Colorado has been nothing but dominant in the long-distance events in 2020-21. Sweeping both the 1,000 free (10:33.69) and 500 free (5:08.05). Her time in the 1,000 was a season-best for Austin.
Austin's performance helped Northern Colorado take down the Rams, 113-91, for the first dual win against Colorado State in program history. UNC has now beaten every Division I team in Colorado head-to-head in 2020-21.
Two weeks ago, Austin picked up Swimmer of the Week after three event wins against the Pioneers.
The Bears are currently prepping for next week's WAC Championships. The swimming portion is scheduled for February 17-20, in St. George, Utah, while the diving portion is slated for February 25-27 in Flagstaff, Arizona.
