Moore Recognized as One of the Best in the Region

GREELEY, Colo. – Bermuda native Madelyn Moore is already known as one of the best swimmers in UNC history and in the WAC, now she is being recognized as one of the best swimmers for the Central America & Caribbean region. Moore earned honorable mention in Swim Swam's annual awards.
The senior had a dominant year in the pool both collegiately and internationally. She won four races at the CCCAN Championships in the 50 free, 100 free, 50 fly and 100 fly. Moore set her home country's national records in three of the four events.
She went on to compete at the 2021 FINA World Championships in Abu Dhabi resetting her 50 free short course record with a 25.15.
While competing for the Bears, Moore earned the 2021 WAC Female Swimmer of the Year award for her performance in the 2020-21 season. She has already earned the WAC Swimmer of the Week three times in 2021-22 and swam an NCAA B cut time in the 50 free.
Moore returns to the pool along with the rest of the Bears on January 7 with the Air Force & Utah Tech tri-meet.
