Swim and Dive Splits Dual Meet Against Air Force and Seattle

UNC swimming and diving defeated Seattle in its dual meet Saturday
COLORADO SPRINGS – Northern Colorado swim and dive returned to action on Saturday splitting its dual meet with Seattle and Air Force. The Bears defeated Seattle 181-49 and fell to the host Falcons 147-91.
The Bears had 14 top three finishes including winning three events. Anna Austin, Petra Kis and Maddy Moore each earned a first place finish.
Austin won the 1000 yard freestyle by over 10 seconds with a time of 10:49.21. She picked up a second place finish in the 500 free (5:18.53) and third place in the 100 butterfly (1:00.01).
Kis won the 200 IM by touching the wall in 2:11.87. Her strong freestyle stroke to go from fourth place to first with a split of 29.59.
Moore won the 100 free with a time of 52.19. She finished 1.84 seconds ahead of second place. Moore was also on UNC's 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay that both earned second place finishes. She swam the butterfly portion of the medley relay with a time of 26.88. In the freestyle relay she led off for the team with a time of 24.01.
On the diving boards Tori Sayers earned the highest 1 meter score for UNC at 231.75 and Keeley Coffee had the top 3 meter score of 202.13.
What's Ahead
UNC has one more meet before the conference tournament when they host Colorado State for Senior Night on February 7. The Bears and Rams will square off inside the Butler-Hancock Swimming Pool at 5 pm.
