Played in 49 total games in a little over two seasons with the team posting a 28-21 overall record (24-12 in the RMAC) ... as a sophomore on the basketball squad in 1958-59, Holland was named to the All-Rocky Mountain Conference team after averaging 15.8 points per game and 4.9 rebounds per contest ... as a junior in 1959-60, he was named the best basketball player in the State of Colorado by the Denver Post & Rocky Mountain News after averaging a team-best 17.0 points per game ... shot 80.6 percent from the free throw line to lead the team as a junior ... as a senior in 1960-61, he was one of the first black players to play in the University of Kentucky's Memorial Coliseum and stay in the white-only hotel ... he was the conference champion in the long jump (1959) ... he set the conference record in 1960 in the long jump as he won both the long jump and high jump conference crowns.
