Was a consensus All-American in 2005, getting named to the first-team on five different polls. Was also named to the First-Team Sports Network and a Third-Team AP selection in 2004. A three-time Academic All-American pick and the best defensive back in I-AA according to Don Hansen’s Football Gazette as both a junior and senior. Had 21 tackles against Nebraska Omaha in 2002, tied for the seventh-most in a single game in UNC history. His 159 tackles in 2005 is tied for fifth-most and his 14 career interceptions are tied for fifth in school history, while his 466 total tackles rank third. Also had six fumble recoveries, five forced fumbles, two blocked kicks and two sacks. Drafted in the sixth round of the 2006 draft by the Washington Redskins and still plays for the Redskins.
