Bears Volleyball represents one of the many traditions of excellence at UNC. The University of Northern Colorado Department of Athletics is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience.
BEARS FAN CODE OF CONDUCT
Northern Colorado fans have a right to expect an environment where:
- Student-Athletes respect and appreciate all fans.
- Guests will be treated in a consistent, professional and courteous manner by all event and team personnel.
- Guests will enjoy the event experience free from disruptive and disrespectful behavior, including foul or abusive language or obscene gestures.
- Adult guests who choose to consume alcoholic beverages will do so in a responsible manner. Intervention with an impaired, intoxicated or underage guest will be handled in a prompt and safe manner.
- Guests will sit only in their ticketed seats and display their tickets when requested.
- Guests who engage in fighting, throwing objects or attempting to enter the competition area will be asked to leave the stadium.
- Guests will smoke in designated smoking areas only.
- Guests are prohibited from bringing/wearing any obscene or indecent messages, signs or clothing.
- Guests will comply with requests from event staff regarding stadium operations and emergency response procedures.
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE POLICY
- Colorado State Law prohibits anyone from bringing alcoholic beverages into Bank of Colorado Arena.
- No outside alcohol is permitted inside the venue. Persons found in possession of alcohol outside the arena entrances upon entry have two options: dispose of the alcohol prior to entry or return it to their vehicle.
- Inspections of bags, packages, coolers and blankets will take place at all gates to ensure compliance with arena alcohol policies.
- No person who is obviously impaired will be allowed into the arena.
- All guests who appear to be 40 years of age or younger will be required to show valid identification before purchasing alcoholic beverages.
- Colorado State Law states that a person be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to purchase, possess and/or consume an alcoholic beverage.
- A valid state photo identification or driver's license is required to purchase alcohol
- No person who is obviously impaired and perceived as intoxicated will be sold alcoholic beverages.
- Parking: There are over 40 reserved parking spaces available for properly licensed or tagged vehicles of disabled persons.
- Drop-Off Area: Disabled guests may be dropped off at the main entrance of Bank of Colorado Arena Vehicles must exit this area immediately and proceed to an available parking lot.
- Wheelchair Seating: Reserved seat locations for wheelchairs are available at the floor level of Bank of Colorado Arena.
- All fans are subject to bag searches upon entry to Bank of Colorado Arena.
- Only authorized personnel will be permitted on the court and in restricted areas prior to, during and after the contest and must be properly credentialed. Any unauthorized persons gaining access to these areas will be removed and subject to ejection from the facility.
- The gift shop, operated by the Follett UNC Bookstore, is located adjacent to section P in Bank of Colorado Arena.
- The University of Northern Colorado and UNC Athletics are not responsible for recovery, storage, safe keeping, preservation or return of any lost or found item at Nottingham Field. However, fans who wish to claim, turn in or report lost articles during an event should contact the nearest event staff member. Guests who would like to inquire about items lost at a previous event should call the Athletic Department at (970) 351-3646.
- In the event a fan becomes separated from his or her party, please notify the nearest event staff member. An in-game announcement may be made if necessary.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following items are not permitted at Bank of Colorado Arena:
- Alcoholic beverages, marijuana, tobacco products or other illegal substances.
- Animals with the exception of service animals.
- Artifical noisemakers except cowbells and thunder sticks
- Bags larger than 12"x6"x12".
- Coolers
- Firearms or weapons.
- Fireworks, drones and laser pointers.
- Outside food and beverage.
- Selfie sticks, tripods, monopods and flag poles.
- Strollers in seating areas.
- Non-compact umbrellas larger than 34".
- Wheel conveyance (skateboards, bicycles, etc.)
- Bank of Colorado has a NO RE-ENTRY policy. Fans who choose to leave the facility will not be allowed to re-enter. Exceptions may be made in case of emergencies and other case-by-case instances. Fans who are permitted to re-enter the facility will need to receive a hand stamp upon exiting and present a valid ticket stub for re-entry. If students are allowed re-entry they will need to provide their Student ID and hand stamp..
- Tobacco use, smoking and vaping is prohibited on campus.
