GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado men's golfer TJ Shehee earned runner-up honors at the 123rd CGA Match Play.
"Proud of TJ and his run this week at the Colorado state amateur championships," said UNC Director of Golf Clayton Sikorski. "He has really dedicated himself over the last six months and I'm happy to see his hard work pay off. I know if he continues this path, he will be a leader for us next year. Results like this get me excited to see what we can do in 2023-2024."
Shehee was pleased with his performance.
"I played pretty solid the first 18. I was two under or so," Shehee said. "Nick (tournament winner) played well on the front nine of the last 18. I think he was four under through 10 and bogey-free. I could compete with that, but it's tough. I'd have to play well. He earned it there."
