ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – Northern Colorado Swim and Dive has participated in three meets, and three times a Bear student-athlete has been selected as the Western Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week.
Following another dominant performance at home on Saturday, Madelyn Moore has picked up the honor for the second time this season.
UNC hosted its first of two home duals in 2021-22. Moore was an integral part of the 207-91 victory over WAC opponent Idaho.
The Sandys, Bermuda native swam the anchor leg in both the 200 medley and 400 free relay teams, touching the wall first in both. Individually, Moore outswam everyone in the 50 and 100 free. Her 50 free time of 23.36 was just .01 seconds off her fastest time of the year, which is also the fastest time in the WAC this season.
The 2020-21 WAC Swimmer of the Year picked up her first Swimmer of the Week award this season after a seven-win performance at the Intermountain Shootout in Grand Junction.
Northern Colorado Swim and Dive will be back in action on Thursday, November 4, in a dual versus rival Wyoming.
