McGrath, Davis Open Multis in Fort Collins

McKenna McGrath and Allison Davis competed well in the first four events of the Heptathlon
FORT COLLINS – Northern Colorado Track and Field women's team began its competition in the Fum McGraw/Glenn Morris Multi on Thursday.
McKenna McGrath and Allison Davis competed in four events in the women's Heptathlon.
McGrath won the high jump after clearing the bar at 1.69m to earn 842 points. Davis would place seventh in the event, clearing the 1.51m jump in the event to earn 632 points.
In the 100m hurdles, McGrath placed third with a personal best time of 15.48 seconds in the finals, earning 779 points. Right behind her was Davis, finishing fourth with a 15.75-second time for 745 points.
Davis earned a third place finish in the 200m dash, running the event in 25.95 seconds for 802 points. McGrath finished fifth in the event with a time of 26.64 seconds for 742 points.
In the shot put, McGrath was seventh with a personal-best throw of 9.10m, while Davis was eighth with an 8.33m throw. McGrath and Davis earned 471 and 421 points respectively.
McGrath is currently in third place in the overall standings with 2834 points, while Davis is sixth with 2600 points.
Heptathlon continued
McKenna McGrath and Allison Davis will compete in the final three events of the Heptathlon on Friday. The long jump, 800m and javelin throw will be held tomorrow in Fort Collins.
