@UNC_TrackField Takes Long Jump in Day One of Potts Invitational

The women's team had multiple placers in both the long and high jump in Boulder
BOULDER- Northern Colorado Track and Field competed at the 2019 Potts Invitational, hosted by Colorado University. The men's and women's teams competed in field events on Friday afternoon, with some strong performances that give the team momentum heading into day two.
The women's team won the long jump with Ashley Register recording a 5.15m jump in round one to secure first place. Dakota Divich followed Register with a jump of 5.03m in the third round to place second. Skyla Miller placed four with a jump of 4.79m and Armanni Portee was fifth with a 4.61 jump. UNC tallied 27 points from the women's long jump.
In the high jump, McKayla Bauer placed third, clearing the 1.70m bar. Kylie Chavez would place fourth after clearing the 1.65m bar. The Bears picked up 11 points in the high jump.
Brooke Walker was tied for sixth in the pole vault with a 3.05m mark.
For the men's team, Austin Chavez was ninth in the high jump, clearing the 1.80m bar.
In the long jump, Jake Tagita placed seventh with a 6.33m jump and Tyler Thimsen was eighth with a 6.29m jump. Maccee Reed rounded out the top 10 with a 5.96m jump.
Liam Johnson was 10th on the men's pole vault with a 4.25m mark.
